Netty271 Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Hi,I've just been outside my back garden and saw what I initially thought was a bright star. Watched it for a while as it was very bright and I thought I could aslo see some red colour in it and it looked weird. Called my friend to see it. Watched it for another five minutes or so during which time it did not move at all. She just kept saying 'it's just a star'.... then it just winked out. Took about 5 seconds to disappear completely. Freaked us both out so I thought I would come on here and see if I could find a logical explanation? This happened at 21.47 this evening (GMT).Anybody got any suggestions as to what it could be. The nearest airport to me is approximately 65miles away. Thanks Quote

At night they just look like they disappear. Don't worry about it. Perfectly normal. Quote
