Should the mikes be obvious and have a button so that people wilfully drop a comment in commercial places? Or is it OK for them to datamine anything that people say in any public place? Should folks be so enthusiastic about it as to allow them a mike in their home and analyse data from domestic quarrels? We already know that each click on a website may be contributing to their datamining but we can say what we like while strolling down the street. The big question is: Once it is in place and folks are unconcerned, how great is the risk of its actual use eventually widening to include political control?
