Work-related dining usually involves lunches at someone's office or a regular cafe. I eat at airports and hotels now and then but thankfully not that often.

With the family - rarely, and if we go out it tends to be for pizza or burgers.

I voted "every day" because I'm a university student on a campus meal plan and never cook my own meals. When I'm home with family, I generally eat dinner out twice a week with them, and I generally dine out for lunch a couple times a week with friends.

A few years ago I ate out much less; but now being a lot busier I find it hard to avoid. I will normally eat lunch at a cafe 3 times a week and dinner maybe once a week. The price question was hard, since for lunch I spend less than a midweek quick dinner out; which in turn is less than a weekend social dinner out.

We generally have lunch out 3 times a week. My wife has had a long recuperation from several major surgeries and she is usually too tired to go out for the evening meal.

In our area a mid-range restaurant lunch tab, with wine, runs in the low $30 range and I almost always tip @ 20% which brings the total for 2 to about $40.

We have 5 or 6 restaurants that we usually choose from. We're recognized as regulars and often become well-acquainted with servers and management. It's not unusual for the manager to stop by and talk for 5 or 10 minutes. By the time we are known at a restaurant we get superb service and the wait staff knows our special preferences in preparation without us having to ask. :D

I wonder if being a Psychologist has anything to do with it? :D :D :D

I get off work at 4:30 and the wife gets home at 5:30. There is not enough time to stop by the grocery store for supplies and get home and cook before she gets home, so unless I put something in the crock pot that morning or I heat left-overs then we are going out for dinner.
