 Most probably haven't noticed that I've been gone for awhile.

On Jan 11 I had open heart surgery to replace my Aortic Valve and a just discovered hole in my heart (Atrial Septal Defect). The surgery was a great success, but a recent autoimmune disease, Bullous Pemphigoid was re-activated when someone decided that 4 Tetracyclines and 4 Niacinamides a day was "too much" and I was cut down to just one Tetracycline a day.

The Pemphigoid came screaming back and I've been dealing with it for over 5 weeks. Its a blistering disease of the extremities that is fairly rare, but occurs in those over 60.

So,I'm slowly on the mend from the under-medication. Lots of blisters turning into scabs on my gluteeal regions - making this a literal PITA.
