ledbassest Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 “Dropping Sands” The sands of time come trickling down, Trickling down to the ground. A lifeless charge To those Who Deny. The sands, the change of time. The last sands drop down, Then as they do, you do the same. Drop. Quote
Queso Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 clever! did you write that? i love hourglasses. Quote
ledbassest Posted April 27, 2005 Author Report Posted April 27, 2005 this is my own writing, yes. i to am fasinated by hourglasses and the way sand drops. in this poem i tried to relate the dropping of sand to the tie in legend of death. Quote
Queso Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 you should check out this song...i don't know if you are a fan of mudvayne or not. i'm not much anymore, but i used to be. they have an unreleased song, a really slow-tempo'd melodic song about death, time, and the hourglass.it's called 'goodbye'see if you can download it, if not i'll e-mail it to you or something. REALLY good song.a lot of people just see them for the hard music and screaming, but that band is pretty good musically. Quote
ledbassest Posted April 27, 2005 Author Report Posted April 27, 2005 i too used to listen to them a lot and have heard this song. it is a very good song, and they are pretty philosophical in their lyrics. Quote
Queso Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 yes! well, glad you know what i'm talking about. Quote
ledbassest Posted April 27, 2005 Author Report Posted April 27, 2005 although i have heard this song i wouldn't mind the song. i do not own it myself. :xx: ;) Quote

Queso Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 at the top of the line like a cloud, falling slow motion, shroud.something comes from, out of the trees, through fog, moonlight, comes,an entity, probably human, but how can we be?even be certrain that we?exist. as the shadow moves closerfrom the realm of darkness we've never questioned. niviene Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 that's nice writing, led. You have a great creative streak. I am always a little more critical of writing that falls into shapes or physical patterns (I tend to be a little more sceptical of writing capabilities if the writer must put the writing into a shape to draw attention...).. however, I really think this is a nice piece and an example of something that does work well with a shape. Do you keep a book or a journal? Quote
ledbassest Posted October 11, 2005 Author Report Posted October 11, 2005 Do you keep a book or a journal?i have a great memery and write often, but i do not keep a journal. on the other hand i do keep a "small" portfolio of most of my work. Quote
