I read once about inti-iflamitory properties of spices used in Indian food, but I can't remember which ones. Does anyone know? Could those spices be used instead of aspirin to reduce inflamation due to injury, or are they less potent? Do those spices have fewer potential adverse side-effects than aspirin?

If you're really curious, I'd track down the actual Michigan report., esp. the metric for "antiinflammatory" efficacy. McCormack is making antioxidant claims for its spices. The post cited above is overhyped.
