kowalskil Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Spiritualists and materialists I still do not know what can be done to eliminate endless conflicts between materialists and spiritualists. But comments collected at several websites prompted me to compose a short on-line paper at: http://pages.csam.montclair.edu/~kowalski/theo_sci.html It can probably be used to initiate an interesting discussion here. joekgamer Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Not everbody falls into (or even close to, sometimes) these two catagories. There are nihilists, who are (kind of) neither, and there are those who are both (I haven't heard a name for it, but I have seen people who fall into the catagory). Then there are those who are kind of in the middle, niether one nor the other. Quote

Aggressive combatants, by the way, are most often self-proclaimed scientists and self-proclaimed theologists. That has been my impression. Ludwik. Quote

kowalskil Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 OK, I'll go first. Define God. God is a nonmaterial entity. It is defined individually. Why is this definition is vague? Because the concept itself is vague. Ludwik.. Quote

kowalskil Posted April 9, 2011 Author Report Posted April 9, 2011 God is Supposition. God is a nonmaterial entity. Supposition. Yes, these are initial suppositions of theists. They are like axiom to mathematicans. Ludwik.. Quote
