Deepwater6 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 I have just read on BBC that French scientist confirmed a exoplanet in the system Gliese 581 is in the "goldilocks zone". Their calculations determined that liquid water can exist on that planet. The article went on to say that future telescopes would be able to look for signs of life in better detail than we have now. Over the years some religions have claimed that the Earth is the only place life exists. I was curious to know if we were to find plant life but nothing more would that be enough for these naysayers to change their minds or would they continue to say there is no intelligent life besides us that God created? In my book life is life right? Thoughts? Quote
