Little Bang Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 In dealing with light we don't have an equation for a single photon, one pulse of energy with a given wavelength. We must have trillions of pulses to measure frequency and then use λ = c/f. But we can try to imagine what a single pulse of energy might look like. The mainstream wants to consider light as a particle. Let's try to apply that view of light to Bremsstrahlung radiation. Imagine a charged particle under going very high acceleration for a very short period of time say on the order of an atto second. That would suggest the charged particle must emit these light particles in a 360 degree circle perpendicular to the line of acceleration which also suggests there cannot be a single particle of light that created this pulse of energy. It makes much more sense that space is some sort of medium that is effected by charge. The only things effected by charge is another charge or an electric field therefore I contend that space is an electric field. Quote
