Smokinjoe9 Posted May 6, 2005 Author Report Posted May 6, 2005 well, I am not a great pianist, but I have been playing the guitar for 20 some years. I like just about anything, but I play mostly jazz and blues stuff..I have been inspired by many greats, but lately have been studying the stylings of Stevie Ray. He sort of takes parts of various scales and chords and plays them all like they would be the melody line. It is hard to explain. You would have to listen to multiple songs of his and pay close attention to the guitar alone to really get a grasp of just how amazing he really was. Not everyone would like him, but there is no doubt he could play the guitar quite well. Quote
Queso Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 one of the best, i know what you're talkin' about joe. Quote

Queso Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 i always wonder what hendrix would be doing nowadays, considering that he was such an innovator in the studio. i believe he was the first person to reverse anything, and now we can do that with a click of the mouse. he burned though, and he burned bright.
