Here's a trade secret y'all may wish to give a go at in the bedchamber (or wherever you do this sort of thing).

 

When I propagate a new plant development the pollinating is performed precisely at 3:33 PM when the sun strikes the diurnal arc at an angle of 50.625 degrees. Optimum results are gauranteed.

 

It's too late for me now (and, Clay....you're too young for this sort of thing) but if I were to do it again I'd go for the optimum child and plant my seed at precisely that time. Enjoy....and let us know how the kid turns out!

optimal launching angle of firing for maximum distance is pi/2 radians which can be simply proved using min-max simple calculus and a double-angle trig indenity, some vitamin E and a good back!

Sadly, human fertilisation takes place at some only approximately determinable, but quite indeterminate, point in time after the initial planting of the seed, as does germination of a plant seed; so this idealistic timing is actually unachievable outside of the test tube.

Why not go for the gold and work alignment into the equation as well. Could you tell us Robust on what date that there will be a total eclipse at precisely that time and diurnal arc angle and where on Earth observable totality will occur? You might calculate the alignment of the solar system members while you are at it just in case in any them might be in opposition.

I am ever struck by the naivete of those not recognizing our Place in the Sun - "A time to sow and a time to reap....". We're not talking sun worship here, people, just common sense. I never said that. What I said was that the moment/event that has to happen at your specific time of 3:33 is germination/fertilisation, thus actually equating plant germination with human fertilisation -- quite the opposite of what you think I said.

 

I then went on to say that that point in time (germination/fertilisation) cannot be precisely determined, and therefore made to occur at a precise time, as it does not happen at the moment of first watering your seed (plant) or male ejaculation (human).

I understand that, but surely a more meaningful time is the moment of fertilisation, the actual beginning of existence of the new entity, rather than the moment of insemination. Isn't that what you should be aiming to achieve at 3:33:20?
