Water is truly my favorite drink of all. I might drink a soda once in a blue moon but a six pack will still have some lying around after a year or more. I don't mind a little coffee in the A.M. but that's basically just flavored water and occasionally I'll have an unsweet tea, yet more flavored water. All in all, water can't be beat for taste, cost or availability.

Coke for me, almost exclusively for 40 years! And yes, I still have my teeth and kidneys, although I have cut back in recent years. And no diet either, or even C2 or "New Coke". I rather drink half as much Coke and water the rest of the time.

I voted for Pepsi, although its not that strong a preference. I actually much prefer Dr. Pepper and Mtn. Dew, but obviously in moderation: even the diet varieties really aren't good for you. This has nothing to do with being a Jeff Gordon fan (watch him, he's *really* good at getting that Pepsi logo to show after every race: hold bottle so as not to cover logo, twist head slightly so its exactly perpendicular to the camera...amazing pitchman technique, and cute too!), cuz I actually like the guys on the Coke Nascar promo team better...

That new lime Coke is actually pretty good though: my kid and I got free ones when we went to Six Flags a couple months back. Joe Bob sez, "Check it out."

G'day folks,

4+ decades advertising have had their effect. I don't often drink soft drinks so it tends to be Coke when I do. At least I've heard of it for awhile. cheers gub

Wow Orb. Market share between the two is supposed to be pretty close. Have we found a correlation between brains and love of Coke over Pepsi. "Six out of every 10 nerds prefers Coke."

Statistically,

I prefer Pepsi, myself... but I haven't had one (or any other soda) in probably close to 2 years.

When I was young, though, if I was going to have a soda, it woulda been a rootbeer float. ;)

Here in South Africa we don't even have Pepsi. The company left the country many years ago for political reasons, and Coke just took over the market completely. Coke is consumed in vast quantities over here.
