Coke vs. Pepsi

Pepsi is FAR superior to Coke!

___I voted I don't drink cola, but I did in the past & if it was cola it was Pepsi. Dr. Pepper & rootbeers & cream soda then in that order. I rarely drink any type of soda pop now; water, coffee, beer, wine, & green tea constitute my primary beverage intake, roughly in that order. :) (An occasional straight shot or six of quality Tequila ;) )

How many are old enough to remember " Pepsi Cola hits the spot." My preference would be Pepsi, Coke has always tasted a little to sweet for my taste. My favorite soft drink would nevertheless be Rootbeer, sarsaparilla by another name.

Hehe... back in the day when you could buy them in glass bottles out of the machine.. and not these new teeny ones. I always thought those were so cool :)

I only drink cola with rum and they both taste the same when it's half rum.

I definatly notice the difference, pepsi has a nasty sweetness to it (must be the extra Aspertame), whereas coke mixes well with pritty much any amber colored gut-rot. Even without, I'll take a cherry-Coke anyday.

I actually much prefer Dr. Pepper and Mtn. Dew, but obviously in moderation: even the diet varieties really aren't good for you.

 

When I was a music undergrad I relied on Mountain Dew to keep me awake during all those hours in the practice rooms.

 

But these days I don't drink much pop - and when I do I prefer Pepsi MAX with lemon ("now with real lemon" :) ). Do they have that "over there"? I seemed to be able to find Diet Coke only.

I've seen an advertisement of Thumbs up (I don't know If you've heard or not) which is produced by coke makers here.

 

According to them, put some sugar in coke and you get pepsi! (real silly)

 

Then pepsi guys launched an ad. in which to make thumbs up you gotta put lots of sugar, some ink and birdshit into their soda.

 

Real good and healthy competition around here eh?
