C1ay Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I tried but there doesn't seem to be anything about his current location on the web. Quote
Queso Posted May 17, 2005 Author Report Posted May 17, 2005 thanks c1ay, he was never very popular or anything..i figured no one would be able to find him like that.but does anyone know any methods, or websites that locate people or something? i don't know, i just have this strange huge passion to contact him. C1ay Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I sure there are plenty that will do it for a price like locator services. It could be an expensive search though if you don't know what country to start in. Any idea where he might be now? Quote
Queso Posted May 17, 2005 Author Report Posted May 17, 2005 ehhhhh, expensive.well that about calls it off right there.i would guess america but i don't know anything about him. Quote
Buffy Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 You gotta start thinking like Veronica Mars (you do watch it don't you? If you don't...) You've run into a dead end on him. So start looking through all the people listed on his album, or on the Beck album. The further down the list you go, the more likely you'll find someone who is listed in whitepages.com *and* who will respond to a phone call. Find out about the guy, and don't be beyond mild ruses to get past voice mails ("My sister's boyfriend went to school with him in Kalamazoo and they're having a reunion..."). Be creative. I know you're good at *that*! Good luck Mr. Phelps,Buffy Quote
Fishteacher73 Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 Did you try contacting the label it was released under? I don't recall what indie he started on but I believe he majored on DGC. I guess it depends on what album you are talking about. Quote

Buffy Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 If he actually wrote some songs, you might want to try ASCAP or EMI...They'd be keeping track of where to send the checks... Cheers,Buffy Quote

Buffy Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 yeah he did. a good example is forest for the trees - ohmwhat are those??They are the organizations that keep track of how many times songs are played on the radio, in honky tonks, etc. and then pay royalties to the musicians and songwriters. I thought you'd already be a member! ASCAP main office is in NYC: http://www.ascap.com/index.html Cheers,Buffy Quote
