alexander Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 "what the ...... ? " you say reading this title, but yes, its true, with the port of gcc to ti89, this new world of linux on a calculator has opened newer and newer possibilities, and now there's a guy who is developing an enulator for a graphing calculator to be able to play, yes, GameBoy games, like supermarioland, zelda and others (there's currently 4-5 that actually play...)anyways, here's the link:http://www.boogersoft.com/projects/tigb/ this is awesome, and once again proves that linux is more of a gaming platform then windows will ever be... just try running windows on a TI... Quote
Fishteacher73 Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 My ex brother-in-law had a TI 89 that played mario about 4-5 years ago.... I don't know if it was coded by iteself or was some sort of emulator... I just saw it once when I was helping him w/ his homework... Quote
Queso Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 just try running windows on a TI... i wouldn't ever dare!! Quote
C1ay Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 I wonder how long it would take to compile the kernal on that thing :) Quote
alexander Posted May 23, 2005 Author Report Posted May 23, 2005 i dunno, thats why you dont compile it on the calc itself and instead use an emulator to do the compiling on your own box :) Quote
