belovelife Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 ok , i am in a debate on tree protection, mainly the redwoods and the old growth that is left this is a dynamic concept where there are many things to take into consideration workmaterial (wood)safety global perspectiveetc. (any additions would be welcome to the debate) while we are in a century that understands the global impact of cutting down the planets main carbon sequestering mechanism ( besides the ocean) we understand that the economics involved are also an issue, especially in this economy while the concept of preservation and selective "grooming" of a forest are understood, the economics of the situation drive the continual deforestation what i am looking for is a solution while i understand that no 1 simple solution ( besides stop cutting trees) will solve the problem, i also understand the global implications for the generations to come, if we do not stop as a beginning to this debate how can we change the industry, and protect especially the old growth?
