Queso Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 and then comes balance....you rid the world of rain and all of that, and you are going to have one hell of a storm WAY BEYOND your control.of course like c1ay said, if you could control it in the first place. Quote
RhenMyster Posted May 26, 2005 Author Report Posted May 26, 2005 Oh, don't get me wrong. If bad things happen with result of controling the weather, that's fine, actually, for my story's purpose, that's inevitable to the plot. Quote
RhenMyster Posted May 26, 2005 Author Report Posted May 26, 2005 But about this virga. Could virga happen anytime of the year, as long as "low-level air is very dry"? And if it could, besides winter season, what would cause low-level air to dry? Quote
Boerseun Posted June 5, 2005 Report Posted June 5, 2005 So if technology advanced greatly in the coming years, could water be made artificially? And if so, would it be the same, or would the make-up differ in some way? You need a tank full of hydrogen, and a tank full of oxygen. You get the two gases to mix, then you light a match. After running like hell, of course. And if you have survived the subsequent explosion (hydrogen and oxygen explodes beautifully), you'll have a little water vapour and no eyebrows. Or hair. Or limbs.Technically, factories can make water in the above manner - but on Earth, it's a lot easier to go to the nearest river. Quote
