mike89 Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 i was wondering, i learned one year how certain atoms produce a certain color, the hydrogen spectrum idea. would it be possible to utilize these colors for say a television at which i believe all you would need is 3 colors blue, green, and red to make any color so get the element/atom that emits or attracts those three colors and use them to form a picture on an atomic level..... no visible pixles.... i dont know much about the subject ....as you could probably tell but just tell me what anyone thinks.... Qfwfq Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 The main problem of resolution is how to tell each single atom when to emit the photon. Quote
mike89 Posted May 31, 2005 Author Report Posted May 31, 2005 very true..... you could always have a number of atoms in a bunch and make them react together..... then again i do not know much about this stuff so who knows Quote
bumab Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 You couldn't tell which atom what photon (red, green, or blue) to emit. It would emit whichever combination it felt like to get the electrons down to the ground level. Quote
