rogue2 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Am able to create a spectrum with my narrow beam white light and a diffraction grating but felt it was too narrow for my project. Got a 1.25 inch equilateral triangular prism but no matter how I position prism I am not getting a spectrum. Is there a trick or a special position/angle that is needed to create a spectrum this way? Slit is about 1mm & distance to prism is about 7-8 mm. Quote
