ChristineJensen Posted March 22, 2016 Report Posted March 22, 2016 Nope, not that much expensive like you are thinking. And it doesn't happen what you are saying, saying no to smoke gains weight. It's just that you have to take care of your health, nothing else you need. If you want, you can have some kind of help based on your health issues or the guide fitness issues from here. It will seriously help you. Quote
Maine farmer Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) I think a clarification is in order here: "Organic" food is generally more expensive than the "non-Organic" kind. The marketing costs of squeezing "organic" on the label and the new ad campaign have to be covered you know. Actually, the increased costs of "organic" food goes way beyond marketing. First, you have to come up with rules as to what constitutes "organic", and involve lawyers. Then, you have to come up with ways to monitor the producers, and enforce the rules. Those people will all have to be paid, and you can be sure they won't be getting minimum wage! Additionally, food quality issues aside, organic methods of food production generally lead to less quantity of production with higher labor requirements. It isn't considered enough for farmers to just not use pesticides or drugs, the farmers must also document everything that they are not doing! We looked into becoming certified "organic" years ago and decided it was just too much of a pain in the backside. In addition to all the documentation, the certification organization wanted 10% of our projected GROSS income up front! If you got a look at our milk check, you would understand that food is cheap. It's politics that is expensive! Edited April 3, 2016 by Farming guy Quote
