arissa Posted May 30, 2014 Report Posted May 30, 2014 Has anyone heard what they are doing with coffee beans now? I am not a coffee drinker but I still found it interesting since I enjoy music. It seems the crackling a bean does while being roasted is music to their ears and they are looking into possibilities where we would just hear the sound of coffee in the morning rather than just drinking it. Would anyone here trade in their cup of Joe for just the sound? Source Quote
Deboer13 Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 If the coffee crops fail, as they've been warning some might, the "Sounds of the Crackling Bean" album may become the most popular album on iTunes. I just can't imagine a morning without coffee. It would be an interesting experiment to go without coffee and see if the sounds of the crackling beans would go some way to replacing the caffeine hit. Wonder if something similar might work with smokers and nicotine? Quote
Eclogite Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 The only thing that has ever made coffee palatable to me is by putting whisky in it. I can see no attraction in listening to the sounds of crackling beans. Ice cubes cracking under a torrent of bacardi is another matter. (Is there a theme emerging here?) Quote
