pagetheoracle Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 This method, which I assume to be UK based, teaches language by firing words at foreign learners until they can repeat them fluently, according to the tutor. As far as I know it doesn't teach meaning just sounds of English, building up a vocabulary word by word (most common 4,000). Does anybody think this would be effective or even know through experience? The link below gives details but is not a link to the official site as it doesn't seem to tell you anything about what the method entails, so giving you this makes more sense. http://www.antimoon.com/forum/t288-0.htm Funnily enough my approach to language teaching is similar except I include spelling and build up a bigger vocabulary, through pattern creation (see second link): Please compare and comment. http://www.pinterest.com/paigetheoracle/logic-lists-english/ Over all, do you think either method has merit?
