ErlyRisa Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 Most characters that are memorable...do not include the true nature of society. eg. The spy - wouldn't be a spy if he/she had parents. The Toughguy - wouldn't be tough. The comic wouldn't be funny (Has to respect the parents wishes/ideology) I often watch movies, with the moral code being stated...but in most cases whatever moral or plain story line stance that is trying to be instilled in the reader/viewer; The main characters parents are non existant: As if the character just dropped out of the sky. So, how do you take the moral code? Quote
bleeryI Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 If I'm honest, I watch movies purely to be entertained and not for any moral content. Spy movies are intended to provide excitement and fast paced action, not to provoke deep thought. I think that you will find many movies with a moral tone, if you look hard enough though. Quote
