A recent study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology concluded that people who run on a regular basis as little as five minutes a day can add three years to their lifespan. While the researchers could not prove running was directly responsible for the longer lifespan, they were able to prove a strong link between running and living longer, Running was linked to a 30% lower death risk from any cause and a 45% lower death risk from heart disease or stroke.

What I found fascinating was how such a small time investment could yield such improvement. I've been walking regularly for awhile now. Maybe it's time to step it up, ha ha.

Step it up, haha. I think that's an interesting link. How could it not be linked directly to being much more active than we usually are? Cardiovascular exercise of all kinds has been shown to improve overall health, hasn't it?
