Does the coin have the same weight than the magnet?

 

 

Pretty close, the aluminum diamagnetism is what levitates the magnet, I'm not completely sure why spinning the can magnifies this effect.

Peadogogically, we should ask: why does the spinning aluminum can levitates the magnet?

 

Answer:

moving the aluminum through the magnetic field of the magnet induces a current in it. The current generates a magnetic field, which repels the magnet

 

 

Clue: The video mentions that the levitation is "like a maglev train". It's not, however, like just any maglev train, but like the old (late 1990s) and to the best of my knowledge not yet implemented in a full-size system, Inductrack system.
