Showers have gotten bigger: And safer (There are now less per capita Shower accidents)

The next step is re-organising the mentality that it is not ok too Shite in the shower.

Pros: No toilet paper. You will be cleaner.

Cons: Time consumption (taking clothes off --but if it was Eden than that isn't a problem)

solved Con: Water consumption : Actually some shower systems are so efficient it's about the same as a flush: Personally I would rather use that water and feel completely clean...than too have watch my big pooh get stuck and have to flush again.

This is a Social Taboo problem ---mainly b/c we accepted our upbringin todo things as stated by our parental nurturing...but we are out of energy, germs/virus spread more effectively....so we may aswell switch.

Well, no, it's a public health problem.

If you're properly cleaning your toilet, you're using substances that are not really great on your skin. If you have to wash your entire shower with them, you're doing damage to your skin.

Also note that much of the spread of bacteria from toilets is because they become aerosolized, and that's the reason you should not only keep the seat down but keep the lid down too. With a shower, you've got a much bigger surface area for the bacteria to get airborne.

So no, it's a really bad idea.

Sorry Buffy but on this one your 100% Wrong.

I have and actually do this... It makes no difference. Not only that I have tested the Paploma virus too...I am awaiting how long it will take to spread amongst my freinds.

--Yes I do science on wintting participants. ...much like?

PS....You want GREEN , I'll show yas green.

Not only has the western ecology damaged the crap out of the planet...its damaged the mentality of the typical into a state of "Royalism" : ie. The state requires you too accept and only be accepted if you behave as one of them.

Cleaning your toilet in a population of 7Billion DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--> It's tons and tones and Giga Tones and Tera tons of not only wasted chemistry, wasted man hours on a product no one cares about ... but it makes my Fish and Chips taste like my toilet.

THE OTHER thing it does is it places SHAME on people that are having difficulty enough living in ROYAL LAND.

ie. I HATE the toilet cleanser type of person, I hate the smell in the toilet provided by the chemicals, I hate the wasted over zealoutry of cleanlyness required in order for me to feel normal.

------IT MAKES ME HATE THE WORLD: When the only thing on someones mind is whether or not the lid is in the right position.

x2, or When I have to remind myself to do this and do that.

Put it this way, the scene in Dumb and Dumber: That is the pinnacle...if the Royal "biaaath" couldn't open her mouth about the toilet b/c she can't fix one...then its time to switch to one that ain't got problems and just works.

PPS...Chamber Pots will be the last recourse when we are out of energy.

So I should trust you and your amateur experiments versus 2500 years of practice, science and public policy in dealing with human effluvia?

I think not.

Heck there's even a Mythbuster's episode on aerosolization in bathrooms that's pretty darn scary.

I did a paper once on cesspools, septic tanks and related disposal mechanisms. That does not make me an expert, but I do at least know what I do not know.

This sounds like a personal problem.

BURN IT (shite)....the way we did pre 2500 year ago....before the establishments had to create Turkish baths for thier pleasure on the backs of the plumbing industry...as the effluent went out into the ocean to poison the taste of our fish. (take that to your bible group)

So you're a Climate Change Denier too?

What you're talking about is worse than all that cow flatulence that is a result of our addiction to hamburger.

I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today, :phones:

To be fair, putting the carbon (and other chemicals) from our waste back into the atmosphere wouldn't have the same effect as burning carbon fuels since our waste is made up of chemicals that were already in circulation throughout the biosphere.  Though I suspect that there are probably more efficient means of disposing of our waste. Probably the ones that we're using.

You mean the ones that prop up a western industry: but CANNOT be implemented in Africa b/c then we can kiss the savanagh goodbye? You mean those ones right.

The west keeps pushing it's ideas as solutions while lying to the populous that Flying cars will be the norm.

:hell, I'm designing a car that can burn me own shite.

Actually, putting it into the ground as we do now (what gets removed at the waste disposal plant that can't be converted goes into landfill), is the best way to deal with the carbon and generally goes by "sequestration." Burning it actually has the same issues as aerosolizaion I discussed earlier because it is a highly efficient mechanism for getting it precisely where we don't want it to go: the atmosphere.

Best not to burn anything actually, unless you trap all the CO2 produced, which for most purposes is not economically viable.

The difference between a violin and a viola is that a viola burns longer, :phones:

Buffy, I am so sorry you are trying sooo hard to defend your world.

I have always adored the method by which the mentally entrained repeat what is the common thought vernacular...

in this case its: don't burn it, that's bad for the atmosphere.

Question: how much energy goes into doing all that is needed in order to funnel human crap around the planet --> we don't do it for the wild fauna.

PS: Burning it is actually a form of free solar energy (solar makes food, you get too enjoy it, and when you crap, and burn it you get to stay warm)

We could make a Shite economy ... eg. **** Bricks, could be sold to restaurants for ambiant log fires.

eg. An X web publisher now living on the streets, could trade has last pooh for a meal at a fancy restaurant.

BYO Log.

ERlyRisa, by the same line of thinking you use to say everything is solar, you can also say everything is natural: since we humans are part of Nature we humans can destroy earth and it is is still natural because we are a product of nature... So long, "ability to think" what makes us humans so proud...

In general, did you do any research on what you are saying? Before the waste systems we have now, you know how much ancient Rome was stinking? And also you criticise that it goes to the oceans, where does it go from your shower??? If you mean only the products used to clean the toilet, you know that you can also buy environmentally friendly products to clean the toilet? SO much for your argument...

There is one thing I though agree with you, people getting pissed off for the position of the lid...I mean it is soo  not important, get pissed off at politics/governments or any other thing with more impact instead

Like how everything is organic all of a sudden right.

Personally I don't care: I have to listen to (mostly females) touting, and advertising how great the new product they just bought is.

--> It feels like the world is hell.

I mean are you supposed to get married and go shopping for the latest "enviro" chemistry available. -> Easier to just teach the wife that she is beautiful the way she is...why is she still trying to be pretty? She should be trying to get ugly so that I don't have push the other males out of the way!

Although the shaved undercarriage is great I must admit...very organic.

Yeah: Government...vs Toilet humour.

We must remmember though that those people on top, have it hard.

About Smell: -> but now we do have those great chemical products to take the smell away!

About Urine and the planets need for Phosphorus.

About Shite and the planets need to recoup the elements available to grow food again.

-->sadly all pyschological hurdles. (Ok many technical too)

eg. By teaching the population about our feces chain...you can actually teach alot about economics through to energy consumption.

also by teachng people too not **** in the woods and just leave it there, and rather teach them too shite on the gas stove and use it for heating up breakfast...you can change the world.

We can make playing with the concept interesting too: eg. No has done any 3d printed excrement yet have they? - I mean some people actually earn a living that way!!!!!

Al it takes is one person in NY to get famous for printing his own shite, and there are 2yrs worth of famed discussion and income for thousands upon thousands of people.

---This place sucks!

ie. Raher than some NYer actually making a living out of printing his own shite: why don't he come up with a way to imprison himself in the dungeon he lives in, in a manner that rest of the country doesn't have too support him. (Produce and Burn your own shite - cause the info can be done right here now)

I have answers...they include the Italian that shat in a can. I think he was onto something...we can can shite, like we do for our dogs anyway (Or directly shite into bags - PS there are US patents on such a product). and as the world is in an energy downturn we can pop a screwdriver into the can, light it...and gather round at a Doors concert singing this is the End my Freind. (Or we can continue to play Knock Knock - but kids of today are boring)

--oh the shower...yeah I wait for it to rain. (outdoor shower you know - pretty cool invention) -I just stomp the shite into the ground like a hippy...it don't stink though.

You're being silly, ErlyRisa, but here are some serious responses:

The next step is re-organising the mentality that it is not ok too Shite in the shower.

As people (such as I) who’ve worked in mental hospitals can tell you, shitting in the shower is a bad thing, because showers have small drain pipes covered with grill plates intended to prevent objects from going down them, and low water flow rates compared to flush toilets. If people **** down them, the soon stink horribly, clog, and have to be scrubbed out.

Feel free to experimentally confirm my claim, but don’t say I didn’t warn you!

:hell, I'm designing a car that can burn me own shite.

Anything engine that can be fueled with wood or coal can use dried stools, so there’s no need to design your own.

The main problem I can see with this is that, for typical use, you’d have a fuel shortage. The average person’s output of dried stool is about 41 g/day. Dried stool has an energy density of about 23000 J/g. So you’d have the daily energy budget of about 943000 J. This is equivalent to about 0.029 L of gasoline. This much energy will move an efficient car like a Toyota Prius can about 0.48 km. So, using your own ****, you could make about a round trip to a place about 1.6 km from your starting place once a week.
