sman Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Is there something about the article(s) you would like to discuss. That's what we like. This is a discussion forum. :blahblahblah: Quote
delilalaw23 Posted April 18, 2015 Author Report Posted April 18, 2015 I'd be interested in any comments, thoughts, ideas, etc. about the topic. I'll be more specific next time about a particular point I'm interested in discussing. (And oops--I'm new here, so please forgive any breach of protocol.) Quote
Buffy Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Yah, what you're doing is called "demanding free advertising for your articles." Would you like us to copy the whole articles here so the Science Recorder site gets no advertising? No, I didn't think so. So yes, you're welcome to come here and pose some interesting aspect of your article and maybe post a link in context for reference, but just posting links is basically stealing from us. But really, welcome to Hypography and we're glad to have you around! :cheer: To steal from a brother or sister is evil. To not steal from the institutions that are the pillars of the Pig Empire is equally immoral, :phones:Buffy Quote
delilalaw23 Posted April 21, 2015 Author Report Posted April 21, 2015 I don't think my motives are quite as self-promoting as all that. Yes, sure, I'd like people to know about the website I write for, but it's not mine, and the work I do for it is more a labor of love than for financial gain, believe me. And a little discussion has been generated by the articles I've posted, so that's a good thing, right? In any event, I'm glad I stumbled on this site and look forward to contributing my 2 cents. Cheers! Quote
Buffy Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Apologies for the hard shot across the bow. We do want to encourage intelligent contributors here, and since we feel free to interpret our rules however we want to at the time, we're happy to let starving scientists steal a little bit of something that's not actually worth very much. But half the work we do around here is keeping the truly egregious spammers at bay, and so we have jumpy trigger fingers. Enjoy yourself! :cheer: It's later than you think, :phones:Buffy Quote
