This news is pretty scary and could explain a lot about why people seem to age so differently. I know genetics plays a big role, but when you compare old folks living in a remote village somewhere in Europe, says, with those in urban areas, the difference in mental acuity between the two groups is often really noticeable. And then add on all the meds a lot of city seniors are on to deal with their chronic illnesses--no wonder we see such high rates of old age dementia.
