Here is my idea. A hand controller that moves in the games virtual space. The difference is that it has a flexible elastic that allows you to flex your hand etc. But the thing is that if you say hold a cup in the game, the elastic becomes restraining not allowing you to flex fingers and such.

 

Tell me what you think.

How easily this would be created would also depend on exactly what you're trying to do, are you trying to pick up a cup- or are you also trying to feel the cup when you pick it up, and know the textures of it? 

The second one would probably be much more difficult than the first, however the first would still require a lot of materials, time, and coding.
