petrushkagoogol Posted February 20, 2016 Report Posted February 20, 2016 A short man is more likely to be intimidated by a tall one than vice versa. (david vs goliath) ? Is level of nervousness linked to height as a kind of collateral parameter ? Quote
Maine farmer Posted February 20, 2016 Report Posted February 20, 2016 There may be some correlation, and I am sure someone has studied it, and I can only speak in anecdotal terms, but I am inclined to believe it depends on circumstances and the general psychological makeup of different individuals. Being of above average stature myself as well as physical fitness, I have to admit that I carry myself with a certain sense of personal security, even in unfamiliar and urban situations, and I am aware of some of my smaller and more frail friends being nervous and even scared in the same situations. However, I also know shorter people who are very confident, and seemingly secure, and I know taller people who suffer from social phobias. Quote
