Chess Diplomacy

Computers are beating humans in chess but the man-man contest still elicits interest. How about training our diplomats in chess and have negotiations over a board of 64 squares ? (I have heard of romantic associations being formed over the chess board.).

I think our diplomats should engage in hand-to-hand combat to the death to decide conflicts rather than sending our sons and daughters to die in their wars.  They might think twice about engaging in a pointless war if their lives were on the line.  Imagine George W. Bush and Saddam Hussein fighting it out.  I tend to think it would have resulted in non-age appropriate interactions of a sexual kind.
