brianthepoet Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 physics has a poetry, and a simplicity that is more obvious as more is known.Firstly, Energy=Mass (in its simplest from) can be shown as a variation of Einstein's equation - E=MC to the power of 0 - that is, it has no lightspeed energy component as yet. this is the energy we use all the time, released by chemical reactions. When we can start to believe in its permanence, we will be able to be less polluting and more conservative. Like the sailing ships that used to ply the roaring forties, we will find ways of using nature's poetry to power our life purposes. Quote

brianthepoet Posted July 1, 2005 Author Report Posted July 1, 2005 the poetry has to be GOODor it is no good! a verse from my poem "Trees" Will eager beavers damn our lot when water-logging's lost the plot and migrant robins' nesting rights are dashed on balder mountain nights? pamela2888 Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Cast Away, AloneBanished from your sick and dreary life, Causing such inner anger, Bitterness and strife. It took me three times to finally realize, I was unwanted, An annoyance, A speck, A fly, I loved you forever, Can't you see me on the inside? Instead, You chose to abandon me, Leaving me to drown in all your promises, LIes. -about a special someone in my life... no more. -pamela2888 Quote
brianthepoet Posted July 21, 2005 Author Report Posted July 21, 2005 Much depth, good to see so many poets into science. Most of the Pamelas I've met were named after that wonderful Wayne Fontana hit - Pamela, Pamela - from the late sixties. Here's a poem on reincarnation - All of a sudden, so little I glean from Krishna, Hindi and Zen - Re-incarnation just isn't my scene since I have been born again! Organic gardening is a lot of rot! - BB Quote
pamela2888 Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 Hmmm.. well my name isn't actually Pamela... its my mom's name. She was named actually after Pamela Anderson. I only write good poetry either a) I am in love, manically depressed.. usually its the latter. I believe in reincarnation as well.. though I am not a Hindu, its always seemed logical to me. Testing 101 LIfe, dreary and cold, throwing my heart troubles, loaded with sticks and stones, Battering my spirit, Wounding my soul, A barrel of gossip,Milked with lies, Toppedf with malicious assumptions, A dash of ignorant jealousy. If only one could see... However nothing can be more of a test, Than the way one carries such, Will it be pride with stupidity? Or dignity with pride? Quote
IrishEyes Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 You know, we actually have a Poetry thread in the Lounge. Feel free to check it out, and post some more there when you become "Lounge Lizards". All three of you have some interesting stuff going on. Especially you, B! "side-splitting wit" for sure!! brianthepoet Posted July 25, 2005 Author Report Posted July 25, 2005 in Australia (I am in Sydney) we like to send up many things - I go for politics quite a bit - Edward deBono talks about lateral thinking, here is an example Michael Jackson and Steve Irwin cannot be birds of a feather. They court disaster with skills they master but never hang out together. or Digital cameras were popping like mad!Stars in his eyes dimmed Justin's composure. Her cover was blown but Janet is glad - the family can't risk any double exposure. Note 3 meanings of the expression "Double exposure" Anyone got any more? Quote
