petrushkagoogol
Using the 5 senses can we perceive the past as it existed in real time ? * visual - not possible as we can see only the present environment * auditory - as sound signals would have dissipated by now * gustatory - can experience the past eg) by chewing a fruit from underground of ancient vintage, but it would be significantly degraded * tactile - not possible to experience ancient environs * olfactory - possible !!! Consider an ancient Pharonic vault, cloistered away in oblivion for millennia that contains air trapped underground for thousands of years, where no gaseous exchange is possible. The first explorers of this subterranean prison would, indeed, breathe ancient air. Viola !!! Do you agree ?
exchemist
The sister of one of my ex-girlfriends used to play the viola. Rather a beautiful sounding instrument.

This is another Intriguing question and I wish I was so imaginative as to ask such questions. I disagree that is not possible to because it seems about anything is possible in today’s world. Unfortunately this is just an opinion because references are difficult. petrushkagoogol
