petrushkagoogol Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Consider the following two scenarios - * Man is affected by nuclear radiation due to leakage in a reactor in his vicinity - End result - death * Man has a bad accident while taking a selfie with a selfie-stick - End result - death Both the above result in death, the latter more in numbers, yet the former is responsible for more trepidation than the latter. Why is there this paradox in human psychology ? Quote
