petrushkagoogol Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Consider the scenario where a person has 4 tasks to achieve in the ATM's of 4 different banks - like viewing balances, changing PIN's, applying for cheque books etc. This uses a lot of time and effort. A possible solution is the creation of ATM zones, where the 4 ATM's are arranged at 0,90,180 and 270 degrees of a circle or at the 4 corners of a rectangle. (A triangle would be inappropriate because it has only 3 nodes). Of the 2 possible solutions, circular alignment is best because it uses minimum area (3.14 r^2 vs 4r^2), and distance from the center is less (r as opposed to 1.414 r). From an end-user perspective having a one stop shop for all ATM needs is very useful. Do you agree ? Quote
Maine farmer Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Don't most people do most of their banking online nowadays? Aren't ATMs obsolete yet? I don't know, I still prefer to go inside the actual bank and deal with actual people myself. I have noticed the local bank is quite empty these days, and quieter than a library. Quote
