I have to share this.  Just have to even though I'm sure 99% of us have heard it before.  Just received it from a friend.  I wonder if she is talking about me.  :irked:

 

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

I had not heard this. It sounds good until you stop and think. But actually, how many people do you think seem bright, if you have yet to hear them speak?

 

A more common phenomenon is the speaker who seems to be profound and insightful, until you re-read his words in written form, whereupon you realise they are empty of meaning. Tony Blair was a master of that technique.  I think he may have learnt it from Bill Clinton.....

Poor Tony was confused.  They took him out of England and reared him in Scotland and then sent him back to rule England.  Now that can be hazardous to your sanity, given that the whole island was threatening to snap apart at the border.  As for BC, I've no idea what his excuse would be.  :-)
