RanhuelG
ok, one hour ago, I was on my bedroom playing the guitar, with my window open. From there, I can see the north-east, and of course, Arturo. I was playing David Bowie when suddenly Arturo disappear, and I shook. Then, it reappear like in two seconds. The date is April 16th, 2018. The time was 21:56 or so. I live on Villa Maria, Cordoba, Argentina. Coordinates: -32°24′37″, -63°13′53″ .At first, I was very shocked. I told a friend of mine what happened on whatsapp, and then I opened Stellarium. I load the data, and nothing. There was no clouds, no satellites passing by, even I quit the atmosphere and nothing changed. It was just that, a (kind of) vanishing star. Actually, this is not the first time that something similar happened to me. On January 17th, 2016, I was on my grandpa's house, 80km away from my city (not a big distance). After midnight, I was seeing from my window a star, who started to have less bright, and less, and less, until it vanished. 30 minutes or so later, it started to reappear again. I don't remember the exact constellation I was seeing, sorry. What I remember was in what I was thinking: Aliens (I mean, I was thinking about that famous alien megastructure who takes the energy of a star, well, you guys remember it) After having dinner 30 minutes ago, I started searching from answers on the internet, and guess what: Aliens (well, I hope this community believes on the scepticism thought, because when I say "aliens" I'm not saying "abducted cows", you know)Well, actually the Aliens are the last of many possible answers, but, they're are one of them. (maybe there are glitches on the matrix after all haha) Anyway, I would like to know what are you thoughts about this. I'm kinda new on this forum (this is my first post, actually), and if I said wrong any sentence, remember I don't speak english. Thanks for reading. DaveC426913
Before going to "aliens" you might want to rule out a few more mundane explanations. 1] A branch got in the way. If you are inside, looking out a window to the outside, you have very poor night vision. You would not be able to see an unlit branch against a black sky unless it eclipsed a star. 2] A cloud passed. Just because forecasts say it's a clear night doesn't mean it is. 3] You moved. From a different angle, Arcturus may not be visible. This is easy to do without noticing. You did say you were playing a guitar. JMJones0424
