You can lead a fool to knowledge, but you can't make him think...

(nothing personal!)

Hey good one nkt; we could make a quatrain out of these lines:

You can lead a horse to water,

but you can't make him drink.

You can show the fool evidence,

but you can't make him think.

I'll claim this quatrain for my own..................................................infamous

Science has been seriously retarded by the study of what is not worth knowing and of what is not knowable...................Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Causes one to suspect that Johann was approached by a String Theorist that time traveled back into the past to visit with him.

Not bad. What are the rules for a Quatrain? Is it just four lines that rhyme like that?

I've got a database driven daily quote thing that changes by the day that I wrote in PHP, and all the quotes are invention or ethics or work related. If anyone wants a copy, let me know. You can see it at http://www.rubbertreeplant.co.uk across the top.

My site's quote of the day:

"In a free country you have the right to be offended anytime and any place by anything, but you do not have the right to be taken seriously."
