motherengine Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 concerning these thoughts that some deal with: impulses to scream profanities or cause pain, and even to enjoy the personal unpleasant emotions related to one's own sadistic ideas. how many are caplable of admitting to similar thoughts and emotions? where does this stuff come from? what function/s (if any) do these thoughts and emotions have? is the world filled with madmen conditioned into a facade of functionality? is there a code for sadism or a desire to flaunt convention (even one's own sense of morality) in order to convince the mind that it is a 'free' agent? theories?
