pgrmdave Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 No, I wouldn't say that I am the equal of them, but I would say that I was created equal, and that my life is just as worthwhile as theirs. I would say that everybody should be able to have an equal say, even if I don't agree with it. Quote
Dark Mind Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."--Voltaire One of my favorite quotes of all time :). Quote
questor Posted August 19, 2005 Author Report Posted August 19, 2005 in America, you were born with the promise to be able to pursue or enjoy life, liberty, andthe pursuit of happiness, the founding fathers could not have meant that we are all ''equal'' in intelligence, stature, skin color, or physical skills. we are equal in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of the Lord. that's all you get. the rest you have to earn yourself.
