Aki Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 When I read Brian Greene's The Fabric of the Cosmos, there's something that confused me, and I'd like someone to clarify that for me. It's the "Shaping the Past" section in the "Time and Quantum" chapter. In the later part of that section, Greene describes an experiment in which he moves the three additional beam splitters and the four idler-photon ten light years away. What kind of results would you get, an interference pattern or a non-interference pattern on the detector screen? Quote
Qfwfq Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 I've never read Brian Greene but I'll give you a hint. Try to figure out whether or not a coherent state will reach the screen. Quote
