exchemist Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 (edited) So, is there anything missing still from physics that has not been discussed or solved for?Plenty. To give some of the more obvious examples (well-worn by cranks on this and other forums), we have- the synthesis of quantum theory and gravity- the nature of dark matter- the question of the dark energy hypothesis To these old(ish) chestnuts I would add a personal favourite: why it is that the fundamental unit of charge in quarks appears to be 1/3, while that of the electron appears to be 1. This seems suspiciously unsymmetrical, suggesting some deeper structure may remain to be uncovered. I'm sure a real physicist would be able to add substantially to this list.
