NaveenKumar Posted November 18, 2018 Report Posted November 18, 2018 It had became a law of nature that force equals rate of change of momentum. It should be noted that momentum is not a natural physical quantity. Momentum is an assumption made to analyse motion for human convenience. In this modern age towards the real law of nature, assumptions should not define nature. To compensate this why can't we define as force is directly proportional to rate of change of kinetic energy. Because energy seems a nature defined quantity and it can define laws of nature. And also whenever the net force of an object is not zero, the kinetic energy obviously changes. If the equation defining force is modified, then much of the laws of classical mechanics will be changed. I'm curious to know if this change can reconcile classical mechanics with quantum mechanics. Please contact me to develop this idea of renovating classical mechanics. Quote
