hazelm Posted December 7, 2018 Report Posted December 7, 2018 A new high-resolution spectograph attached to a telescope allows scientists to observe how helium escapes an exoplanet's atmosphere and forms a cloud around it. This must be a "to be continued" story. What problems does the lost helium cause the planet? Can helium be recaptured? Then there is the new spectograph which sees far more color detail than we've ever seen before. What could an artist do with that if only we could see it and reproduce it. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/12/181206141204.htm?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+sciencedaily%2Ftop_news%2Ftop_science+%28ScienceDaily%3A+Top+Science+News%29 Quote
