Rejoice the Sun has passed its zenith, or maybe the sun has risen :). Emperor Constantine created the christian religion as the official religion of Rome, to try and unify all the other religions. The dates are all based around the movements of the Sun and stars. There is no historical or physical evidence on earth that Jesus existed, The Christians are taught he went up into the sky. Which is where we find the Sun most days, which was what Emperor Constantine worshiped. If you are to believe the Catholic church official website, a little known factoid is that the Virgin Mary was 12 years old, when she gave birth to the baby Jesus. It seems the Catholic church has been involved with child abuse for a long time. If you believe the administrators of the Catholic Church committed crimes; be more specific as to the crimes they committed. There have been accusations of cover-ups of child abuse. Those should be addressed. I doubt very much that the leaders of this religious organization planned or took part in child abuse. Do you suppose other organizations that mentor or teach children might also deserve scrutiny? 'Some members' of the the Boy Scout organization have also been accused of child abuse. Do you believe the problem stops with just two organizations that have control over minors? I know criticism of the Bible as being the 'Word of God' may be warranted. However, those books written in the first century could be considered as some testimony supporting a historical Jesus. I do agree, that when Constantine advanced this Church, political considerations probably dominated some Dogma. Constantine may have influenced this Church. Constantine did not create this Church. Constantine 'recognized' and advanced Catholicism.(313 ce)The Catholic Church was officially announced the state church of Rome. 380 ce. Edited December 9, 2020 by TimeFly date change Quote
OceanBreeze Posted December 10, 2020 Report Posted December 10, 2020 I still say "Merry Christmas" and anyone who doesn't like that is welcome to have a non-Merry Christmas. Quote
