Gmo Human-Animal Chimera Personhood

The question was posed should Human and Animal Chimera genetically designed creatures be granted person-hood, I tend to agree that there should be no 2nd class citizens in our modern society and should be granted person-hood or we flirt with modern forms of slavery, just as self aware A.I. should be granted person-hood. I think that Human rights should be extended to all self aware creatures and not just humans or else you are a tyrant in my opinion, but the question was not necessarily put to me what do you think about the person-hood of Human and Animal chimera?
