alright1234 Posted March 21, 2019 Report Posted March 21, 2019 In the Wilson (1911) cloud chamber alcohol molecules of the cloud chamber have a mass 50 times larger than the mass of a proton. A single proton propagating within the cloud chamber is interacting with over 2,000 alcohol molecules that have a mass 50 times larger than a proton to form the cloud chamber alcohol track yet a proton that originates from a diatomic hydrogen molecule is extremely unstable. Is the Wilson cloud chamber proton experiment physically invalid? Quote
