fahrquad Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Apparently Merck has an Ebola vaccine being used in the Democratic Republic of Congo to stem the latest outbreak of Ebola Zaire, which is the most lethal of the three varieties. The other two are Ebola Sudan and Ebola Reston. Reston fortunately appears to be better at killing non-human primates than humans and was first observed at a research station in Reston, Virginia where a day care center now stands. Anyhow Ebola is a highly contagious hemorrhagic virus that causes the victim to ooze to death within a very short incubation period. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zaire_ebolavirushttps://www.insidenova.com/headlines/ebola-reston-a-look-back-at-the-monkey-house/article_4aad76c0-5b35-11e4-b9b3-371ac205d748.htmlhttps://www.statnews.com/2019/05/07/who-broadens-eligibility-ebola-vaccine/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RVSV-ZEBOV_vaccine Quote
fahrquad Posted May 8, 2019 Author Report Posted May 8, 2019 I used to have that very micrograph as my screen saver at a government office years ago. I told the IT guys it was my computer virus. I believe that was the first image of Ebola from 1978. Quote
