Fertilization Of Life On Earth

And, now that we have water on Earth (see Earth science forum), we have life.   I was thinking "ammonium is a familiar story in the context of life formation".  However,  this is ammonium.   ammonium (ion) / ammonia (molecule).  I feel a chemistry lesson coming on here.   At any rate, another step to the life formation story.
