Vmedvil2 Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) This is a older but I wanted to show it for reasons but this is about the synthetic life form that Craig Venter's Team at J. Craig Venter Institute created which is gene tailored bacteria with the minimum amount of genes, read more at https://www.wired.com/2016/03/mystery-minimal-cell-craig-venters-new-synthetic-life-form/ P.S. This shows the difference between "toys" and "real" ones, "The Real ones are genetically perfect". You will know a perfect virus by a smallpox(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/DQ437592.1) based vector, Chickenpox's cousin(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/HW534067.1), just as Craig's Bacterium is from a perfect base for its task(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/CP002027.1). Retroviral vectors(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/JX245015.1) and Adenoviral vectors(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/AC_000007.1) are just used for healing purposes. In any case, this is what the real genome's look like they aren't as simple as gene maps. Edited September 19, 2019 by VictorMedvil Quote
